Prepare Your Computer
General
- We strongly recommend configuring your system at least 60 minutes before your first scheduled session.
- Microphones and web cameras will not be used for the webinars and are therefore not required.
- Webinars will take place over the Internet with the help of a user-friendly program called Elluminate.
System requirements
- First, ensure that you are using the computer on which you will attend the Elluminate webinar, and that is it connected to the Internet.
- All computers require Java
- To check if your system already has Java installed, go to Elluminate's Support Page. Elluminate will automatically detect if you have Java already installed on your computer. If you do, a green check mark will appear on the page. If you do not, a red X will appear on the page and you will be given instructions to install Java.
- Additional requirements based on the type of computer you will use to attend the Elluminate webinar include:
- Windows:
- Windows 2000, XP, or Vista (32 bit)
- Pentium III 1 GHz processor
- Macintosh:
- Mac OS X 10.4 or 10.5
- G4, G5 or Intel processor
- Windows:
- Finally, all computers require:
- 256 MB of free RAM
- 20 MB free disk space
- 28.8 kbps Internet connection
